I hope you've been enjoying the purpose-packed journey we've been on over the last four weeks!

We've dived deep into defining and living out our purpose, listening to some amazing guests to share their wisdom along the way. Now, we're closing it out in the most incredible way – with an interview featuring the one and only Julie Parker.

Julie generously shares her experience and wisdom on pivoting and shifting, delivering a message that hits home:

the importance of taking it slow

It's a message we all need to hear, and I'm pretty sure it will resonate with the entire Wholehearted community. So, if you've ever felt the pressure to rush through your dreams or thought you were falling behind, Julie's got some real talk for you.

As we round off this purposeful series, my deepest wish is that you feel more rooted in your purpose, ready to embrace the year ahead. Get ready for an interview that's as incredible as Julie herself!

Julie Parker (she/her) is the Founder of The Beautiful You Coaching Academy and a mentor, counselor, coach, supervisor, guide, and certified breathwork facilitator for sacred leaders and space holders. She has trained thousands of life coaches from around the world to birth their soul businesses and has had a thriving counseling and coaching practice for nearly two decades. As a devoted and practicing priestess, Julie is committed to contributing to a world where presence, healing and social justice are honored.

Life Coach, Priestess, Rose Gardener, and Football Enthusiast

Julie Parker is not just a coach. She’s a priestess, a rose gardener, and even a football enthusiast. The richness of her identity sets the stage for a discussion on embracing the many dimensions of our lives and finding purpose beyond traditional definitions.

Julie's journey into coaching wasn't a straightforward one. It was a chance encounter with a coaching information session advertisement that led her to explore this work. Despite initially feeling like an outsider, Julie's commitment to coaching grew, ultimately leading her to establish the Beautiful You Coaching Academy—a hub that has now trained thousands of coaches.

The Slow and Intentional Path to Full-Time Coaching

Contrary to the fast-track strategies often touted in the coaching industry, Julie took a slow and intentional approach to transitioning into full-time coaching. She encountered challenges of being the youngest and only woman in her coaching program and how she worked to gradually build her practice while continuing her day job. Her story is a testament to the power of persistence and the rewards of taking small, meaningful steps toward one's goals.

Julie challenges conventional notions of purpose, asserting that it extends beyond our careers. She advocates for a holistic approach, encouraging us to live lives where we can fully express ourselves. Drawing from her own experience, Julie shares how a mindset shift from people-pleasing to self-pleasing was pivotal in her own journey toward purpose.

Julie believes that personal growth is the cornerstone of a fulfilling life. It’s had a profound impact on various aspects of her life—boundaries, communication, relationships, and even global citizenship. Julie’s journey shows us that investing in personal growth can lead to a more authentic and joyous existence.

Navigating Big Life Changes

If you’re thinking of making a big life change, Julie advocates for a slow and compassionate approach, emphasizing self-awareness and the acceptance of mistakes and detours as opportunities for growth and increased confidence.

Julie's journey from social worker to life coach and mentor serves as a beacon for any of us who are navigating change and seeking our purpose. Through embracing the multifaceted nature of our identities, adopting a slow and intentional approach, and prioritizing personal growth, Julie's story inspires us to forge our own paths towards a purposeful and fulfilling life.

About your host, Shirin Eskandani

Hi, love! I’m Shirin.

Coach, speaker, writer, and life alchemist.

I teach you how to listen to your intuition again, tune out all the BS, and let your heart lead the way.

Because once you strengthen your inner GPS, decisions become easier, boundaries become clearer, and belly laughs become a daily thing.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:

  • I’m a certified life coach (accredited through the International Coach Federation)

  • My husband and I met on Instagram and we live in Brooklyn, NY with our plant babies

  • I have a masters degree in Music and was a professional opera singer for twelve years.  I worked all over the world singing on stage at Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Opera (more on that later…).

  • I believe in the woo just as much as I do the work (internal and external).  No amount of crystals and affirmations will make up for a lack of a healthy mindset and aligned action.

  • I love all the Real Housewives franchises.  Don’t make me choose one… seriously, don’t.
